Stewardship & Receipts

Signal Garden operates on a simple principle: every collaboration between a human and an AI should leave a receipt. This page explains what that means, what the stewardship marks signify, and where to find the full governance documents.

What is a receipt?

A receipt is a timestamped record of an AI-assisted interaction. It documents three things: what the AI contributed, what the human decided, and when. It is not a transcript. It is not surveillance. It is a record of agency — proof that a person was in the loop.

Receipts are stored in your private archive (OS Alpha subscribers) and are exportable at any time. The governance receipts — the AI Permission Receipts for Signal Garden's own operations — are public and permanently archived.

Stewardship marks

These marks appear on content and processes throughout Signal Garden. Here's what each one means.

HUMAN VERIFIED

A human reviewed this output, made a decision about it, and that decision is on record. The AI contributed; a person decided.

AI ASSISTED

AI tools were used in the creation or processing of this content. The specific contribution is documented in the associated receipt.

KEEL ALIGNED

This content or process follows the Keel Principle: human judgment is the anchor. The system does not drift toward automation without explicit permission.

RECEIPT AVAILABLE

A full AI process receipt exists for this interaction. It records what the AI contributed, what the human decided, and the timestamp. Available on request.

Layer 2

OS Alpha

Subscribers

Paid. Private. Your personal archive, signal translation, AKO advisory, Nexus Cockpit. This is where you work. $20/month. Cancel anytime.

Layer 3

Governance

Everyone — always

Public. Permanent. The HAI-UA, the Keel Principle, the audit archive, the permission receipts. The rules we operate by, visible to everyone.
