This policy explains what data Signal Garden collects, why, and what we do with it. We do not sell your data. We do not use your journal entries to train AI models. Questions: [email protected]
Short version: We collect only what we need to run the service. We do not sell your data. We do not use your content to train AI. Your journal entries are yours. You can request deletion at any time.
1. What we collect
Account data: When you sign in via Manus OAuth (Google), we receive your name, email address, and a unique identifier. We store this to create and maintain your account.
Journal and session data: Underarchive™ entries, WDWL logs, and session history you create within the service. This data is stored securely and is only accessible to you.
Payment data: Payments are processed by Stripe. We store only your Stripe customer ID and subscription status. We do not store card numbers or full payment details.
Usage data: We collect basic usage logs (page visits, feature interactions) to understand how the service is used and to diagnose technical issues. We do not build behavioral profiles for advertising.
Duck Bucks™ and game data: In-game balances, arcade scores, and shrine interaction history associated with your session or account.
2. What we do not collect
We do not collect biometric data, location data, or device fingerprints. We do not track you across other websites. We do not use third-party advertising trackers. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party.
3. How we use your data
We use your data to: provide and improve the service; authenticate your account; process payments; send transactional emails (subscription confirmations, cancellation notices); and respond to support requests. We do not use your data for advertising or behavioral targeting.
We do not use your journal entries, Underarchive™ content, or personal reflections to train any AI model — ours or anyone else's. This is a Design Law. It is locked.
4. Who we share data with
We share data only with the service providers necessary to operate Signal Garden:
- Stripe — payment processing
- Manus — authentication (OAuth) and AI infrastructure
- Database and hosting providers — secure storage and delivery of the service
We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics platforms beyond basic anonymized usage metrics.
5. Data retention
We retain your account data and journal entries for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, your data is retained for 90 days before deletion, to allow for account recovery. You may request immediate deletion at any time by emailing [email protected].
6. Your rights
You have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; export your Underarchive™ journal entries; and withdraw consent for data processing where applicable.
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
7. Cookies and session data
Signal Garden uses session cookies to keep you logged in. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser, but this will prevent you from staying logged in.
8. Security
We use industry-standard security practices: encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure session management, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure. If you discover a security issue, please report it to [email protected].
9. Children
Signal Garden is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us for immediate removal.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we will post the updated version here with a new effective date. We will notify subscribers of material changes by email.
