🌿 The First Lanterns
Early supporters who helped keep the Public Access Garden alive during its founder-funded build era.
Signal Garden has been founder-funded during its earliest build era. The infrastructure for accessibility, translation, stewardship, and public memory was built by hand, without outside capital, without institutional backing.
The First Lanterns are the people who sustained that work while the garden was still being built. Some gave monthly. Some gave once. Some gave attention, feedback, or trust.
All helped keep the lantern lit.

About this program: First Lanterns is a recognition and stewardship program, not a transactional one. It exists to acknowledge the founding era of Signal Garden and the people who made it possible.
Financial support is handled separately at /support-public-access. The two programs are complementary — some First Lanterns are also Stripe supporters, and some Stripe supporters may not want to be on the roll. Both choices are honored.
